Some Music Stoking Our Creative Fires Lately

There's nothing like truly great music to inspire truly great music, which is after all, the only thing we want to make. John and I (Judy speaking) have been particularly mesmerized lately by...

• Sara Bareilles "Between the Lines - Live At The Fillmore", (just stunning writing, piano playing and vocal artistry from this young genius- this one inspired us to buy new speakers for our stereo)

• Paul Simon  "Live In New York City" is excellent... so cool to hear the full band live with Simon's groove and lyric brilliance. 
• 
  
• Joe Walsh "Analog Man" (if this doesn't rock your socks off, check your pulse)

• Styx "Grand Illusion/ Pieces of Eight" (I didn't remember them being that incredibly musical... wow)

• CMT Crossroads teamings of Vince Gill plus Sting (MAGIC!!!), John Mayer and Keith Urban (cheez if only they had soul).

• and all the musical pairings of artists at Daryl's House (if you haven't checked this out, do so at once).

All this has influenced our music, and set the bar of our own creativity.
